I'm just listing the main types for now, since adding the wing types would leave waaaay too many options lol. But you guys are welcome to comment with your wing type!
I'm a Type 3, and I'm actually unsure if I'm a w2 or w4. A test said w2, but I am somewhat leaning more towards w4. I'm definitely expressive and dramatic, but I'm not withdrawn. I'm very social. ??? DECISIONS.
I can't remember what my type was, but it basically fitted me to a T and basically described my terrible mental health. But looking at the descriptions, I think I'm either 2 or 9? I'm going to take a test.
Okay so it says I'm a 2, or a 4w5 And it seems pretty spot on? All I know is I love people and love helping people and that was asked a lot...
Wait, update: took another one and it said I'm a Very Unhealthy 2
It does a bit, but I still can't choose! For example, the 9 loves people and helps them and doesn't really care about what they get in return, whereas the 2 wants attention and love in return. And I mean, I don't care about what they can give me in return - I want to help people because they're people, but at the same time I want some sort of indication that it's not going to waste and they don't actually hate me, and I'm annoying someone while trying to help them.
And apparently type 2 have a strong sense of identity, which... well, y'know how that goes. I also don't have any sort of inflated sense of identity, hate conflicts and don't ever want people to "need" me - which are all hallmark symptoms of the unhealthy type 2 (and I'm definitely not in the Healthy-Average kinda score)
ACTUALLY wait, I just read something. "Nines have problems seeing themselves because their sense of self is relatively undefined." I think I'm a 9, haha.
Apparently, I'm quite even between 9 and 2, but I'm fairly settled on 9. The amount of spirituality involved there fits. Now I just have to figure out my wing, if they're not balanced. I feel like I'm a straight Type 9.
I just did the test and a few of the questions I found myself quite stuck on but then I was reading through my type (4) and it fits me perfectly! Right down to my anti authoritarian nature it's incredible!
Apparently I was feeling more like an 8(w7) when I voted on this, but after looking up the differences I think 7w8 is probably a better fit. I'm certainly a very unhealthy 7, and so I'm not really much like the stereotypes. My motivations can be fairly accurately summed up as "I want to reduce discomfort and pain as much as possible". I think this is a slightly warped variation on the normal 7 desire for satisfaction and positive experiences, influenced by my environment and by the need for safety from my 8 wing.
I've never been all that good at enneagram theory though...
